Hello Panel!!! I see a lot of people reccomend a mid day break to go back to your resort. What if you are at WDW in December with shorter hours? What do you suggest for a family with little kids in that situation?

    Hi Nicole,

You know your family best, but I'm still a big fan of midday breaks - even with shorter park hours.  We generally go until about 1:00, grab a late lunch and head off to our resort for a nap or rest in our resort.  Sometimes the weather is even nice enough for a dip in the pool.  Then we head back in the evening for dinner, a couple of attractions, then parades and fireworks.

If we have a park hopper pass, we sometimes try to hop over to those parks.  The only park we tend to stay in all day is Animal Kingdom.  The hours are so early for this park, it's pretty manageable to stay all day and hang out at the resort in the evening or head to Downtown Disney.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
