Hello panel, like a lot of others we had 2 cruises canceled and are worried our may 2021 Alaskan cruise will also be canceled , when do you think may 2022 itineraries might be released? Thank you.

    Ahoy Kevin!

So great to have you back onboard here at planDisney! I’m thrilled to hEAR that you have a cruise to Alaska booked for next summer! My family agrees that our Alaskan voyage on the Disney Wonder was our best cruise so far. Of course, with so many amazing ports of call and unique nature and wildlife excursions, Alaska really blows away other cruise destinations.

I hope that your May 2021 voyage to Alaska remains intact. We cruised to Alaska in May and the weather was FABULOUS! But I understand that you want to have a Plan B ready just in case. Currently, Disney Cruise Line has released itineraries for cruises through December 2021, and you are not alone in eagerly awaiting news of the 2022 sailings.

As for when the 2022 itineraries will be released, your guess is honestly as good as mine! In the past, Disney Cruise Line has announced those itineraries around September or October. But certainly this is no ordinary year. Seeing as how it’s October already, I’m staying hopeful for that magical announcement soon! The best way to be in the know about 2022 itinerary announcements is to check back frequently on Disney Cruise Line's website or the Disney Parks Blog.

Sounds like your sailing may already be covered under the Cruise Date Flexibility program for Guests who booked their cruises by October 31, 2020 for sailings through May 2021. This allows you to move your sail date up to 15 days prior to departure. Captain Mickey will allow you to change your vacation date to one in the future without losing your deposit or incurring additional fees if you do so at least 15 days before your reservation. May be just the option you need if you get word of a cancellation for your 2021 sailing.

This is merely the tip of the iceberg, so please cruise back to planDisney if you have more questions as you explore all the options with Port Adventures and onboard activities. Wishing you a WONDERful adventure in Alaska!

    Happy Sailing!
