Hello Panel!! Leaving on the Disney Wonder next week. Just wondering if our stateroom will have a iron or will there be one available for us to use??

    Hi Stacy,

For safety reasons, irons are not permitted in the guest staterooms aboard the Disney cruise ships.  There are self-service laundry facilities on decks 2, 6, and 7 which have two irons with boards for your use.

Now I'll let you in on my little splurge.  If you can find the room in your budget, I have found that it is worth every penny to utilize the laundry service onboard.  After years of stressing about packing as "gently" as possible in hopes of minimizing wrinkles, and time wasted in the ships laundry room trying to iron the clothes for my family of five - I started using this service.  You simply leave your garments in the bag provided in your stateroom, and your host/hostess will have them sent out for pressing.  Prices vary but currently to press a dress shirt it is $1.75 and just over $2 for a pair of pants.  If you can send out your wrinkled items the day you embark, you will have them returned before 5:30 the next day.  Express service is available for a fee.

Hope this helps, have a wonderful cruise!
