The "Moms" Panel has been instrumental in planning our upcoming family vacation! Can you tell me how long the bus ride is from Fort Wilderness to Downtown Disney (just the external bus)? We will be heading to T Rex for dinner the day we arrive.

    Hi Eric,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  We're glad you're hEAR!  There are a few unofficial Disney sites that I've seen provide directions & travel time between Disney properties. One that I've found to be very helpful is www.ourlaughingplace.com. Once you reach their site, click on Transportation Wizard in the top right corner of their homepage.

From there it will give you a drop down menu of where you're traveling from and your destination. Sometimes the options they list aren't the only options but it will give a really good point of reference to get started.

If you plan to take a bus, keep in mind that you'll also need to budget in time to wait on the bus (typically 20 minutes at the most).

If you are not renting a car and relying solely on Disney transportation, make sure you allow yourself plenty of time for any Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) or any other reservations. If you see that you are running a bit behind & your ADR isn't located near you, taking a taxi may be a good option.

Once you're on property, you can always confirm with the concierge at your resort that your plan of action is the most current and will get you there in a timely manner.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
