Hello Moms panel. I'm staying at Port Orleans for my trip in Sept. We stayed at Coronado springs 2 yrs ago and had a long wait for buses every time we went to a park. How is the bus transportation from Port Orleans to the parks?

    Hi Bethany!

Port Orleans is an absolutely gorgeous resort and it is my favorite of the Moderates!  It is divided into two different areas:  Riverside and French Quarter.  The Riverside location is larger and has four separate bus stops - every room is within a four to five minute walk to a bus depot.  The South Depot is the main bus stop and can often be quite crowded after the breakfast rush.  However, it is also the first stop and holds the best chance of getting a seat during busier seasons.

Port Orleans French Quarter is much smaller and has only one bus stop.  Unfortunately, it often shares the bus with the Riverside location.   The Port Orleans Resorts are located in a central location and the transportation times to each park are pretty quick.  Magic Kingdom and Epcot are only 10 minutes away and Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom are only 15 minutes away.

There is also a delightful boat ride to Downtown Disney - a relaxing change from the buses!  Despite the often crowded buses, we truly love this resort and hope that you do as well!

    Much pixie dust,
