Hi Panel! I'm planning on visiting Downtown Disney this weekend. Does a dining reservation guarantee parking in the Simba lot? Thank you for your help!

Hey howdy hey, Kristen! You’ve got a friend in me at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and I’m so happy to welcome you back!

It sounds like you’re just as excited as I am to return to Downtown Disney District! I’m so thankful to have a piece of the magic back now, with today's reopening of Downtown Disney District. This is a great question, and one I have been wondering as well. I checked with a Cast Member, and was told that having a dining reservation will help you with parking in the Simba lot, especially when the lot is full. Here’s how it works: Guests who have booked a dining reservation should speak with a parking lot Cast Member to show proof of their reservation to gain parking access. You can find the Simba lot at Disneyland Drive and Katella Ave. I’m thrilled to report that parking at the Simba lot is temporarily complimentary, too!

It looks like Naples Ristorante e Bar and UVA Bar & Cafe are currently taking reservations. Naples Ristorante e Bar is one of my family’s favorite places to dine at Downtown Disney District! The family-size pizzas are delicious!

Before your visit, don’t forget to click here to find out everything you’ll need to know for a successful adventure. Also, be sure to bring a face covering that follows these guidelines for yourself and any Guests age 2 and older.

To help you map out your visit, here’s a link to the shopping and dining locations that are currently open. I can’t wait to check out the new merchandise at World of Disney honoring the 65th anniversary of Disneyland Park! You can never have too many Spirit Jerseys, right?!

I hope this information helps, Kristen! I can’t wait for you to make new Disneyland Resort memories this weekend!

Hope to see ya’ real soon!

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
