Hi Kristen! Welcome back to planDisney!
I'm swooning over your plans for an April visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Spring is such a GREAT time to visit, with cooler temperatures than summer and events like the
Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. I know you will have a wonderful time!
First things first, I gather from your question history that you are aware that
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is under refurbishment and only the Disney Vacation Club portion of the resort,
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, is currently available. The rest of the resort is set to open again in summer 2021. With that in mind, I would love to give you the scoop on transportation at one of my favorite Disney Resort hotels. In fact, this is my Disney Vacation Club Home Resort and I was there for a dreamy visit with friends less than two months ago!
While I had hoped to hear the news that the
EPCOT monorail loop was back in business once park hopping returned, unfortunately, it is still closed at this time. I'll have all my fingers and toes crossed that it will be up and running for you in April! But if not, no worries! There is bus transportation to get you there and back. Speaking of
bus transportation, buses are available to get you to all the Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs. With earlier park closings, I found that there was even a Magic Kingdom Resort Loop bus available in the evenings when I decided to visit Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for a bite to eat. This made returning to my resort very convenient!
The Transportation and Ticket Center is a short walk away which makes getting to the monorail a snap, because if you are like me, a ride on the monorail just to hear, "Por favor manténgase alejado de las puertas" is a MUST. I found the best option to get to
Magic Kingdom Park in the morning was to hop on a
boat at my resort. With the resort being at such a reduced capacity, I barely had to wait at all!
I know that was a lot of information, but I hope it helps with your planning! Thanks for stopping by, Kristen, and let us know if you have any other questions.
