    HI Moms Panel - I'm not a runner, but can walk a 5k fairly fast paced. Can you tell me all you can about possibly walking the 5k - and since sold out, could I join a team to do so? I heard if you don't keep up pace, you are disqualified - true??

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Christina! 

    And welcome to the wonderful world of runDisney. As the dedicated runDisney Specialist on the Panel, I am excited to hear you are interested in participating in your first runDisney 5K. 

    Walkers are more than welcome! The 5K events are actually untimed, and full of runners and walkers all on a quest to complete the 3.1 most magical miles on earth. Keep in mind, runDisney does ask that you try and maintain a 16 minute mile, which shouldn't be an issue if you're already comfortable with a fast-paced walking stride. There are also no disqualifications and no runners are "swept" during any 5K events - those rules are enforced for participants in timed races of a distance of 10K or higher. You are all set to participate! The next step is to decide which of runDisney's 5K races you want to try first.
