Hi mom's panel, I'm looking at renting an evc from an outside company so we can take it outside the parks. How does it work with disney transportation? Are there spots for an electric wheelchairs on the buses?

Hello Janell and thanks for bringing such a great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
It's easy to arrange ECV rental for the duration of your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort by checking out the information here on the ECV Rentals page.
There are 5 Disney Featured Providers from which you could choose an ECV with confidence -
    - Buena Vista Scooter Rentals: 866 484 4797
    - Best Price Mobility: 866 866 3434
    - Apple Scooter: 800 701 1971
    - Scooter Bug: 800 726 8284
    - CARE Scooter Rentals: 800 741 2282
Guests using an ECV may certainly use Disney Bus Transportation Services, however all ECVs must be of a standard size (30" x 48") and for everyone's safety should be secured when the vehicle is in motion. It's also recommended that Guests should transfer from their ECV to an available seat whilst travelling.
You may also find these Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities to be a great source of further information and advice.
If I can sprinkle some extra pixie dust onto your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort please pop back to ask me another question.
    Have a great Disney day.
