Hi panel, I'm so excited 9 days to go. My grandson's first visit, he will be 3 Dec. 1. We will be staying at the villas at WL in a 2 bedroom. We have stayed at WL but never at the villas please can you tell me what would be a good view to request?

Hi Gwen! I am in the car after just leaving the great Fort Wilderness campgrounds where I called home for the last five weeks. I am sad to leave such a magical place where I too entertained my grandson so I can only imagine your excitement coming up in nine days!

The villas are wonderful at the Wilderness Lodge. It is quiet and peaceful and a great retreat to come back to after a day in the crowded parks. The choice of villas there isn't so much about a view as it is about the proximity to things such as transportation, pool, and main lodge building. Most guests prefer to have a building close to the bus transportation to eliminate a long walk to and from their room. The Villas are located to the right side of the main resort so you won't have a Magic Kingdom view in any of the rooms. But looking out over the pine woods is a treat in itself so no worries there. You might be lucky to wake up in the morning to see the real deer looking back! The Villas have their own pool but it is likely your grandson will want to experience the bigger one at the main resort too.

Request close to bus transportation and perhaps on a higher floor. They will take care of you as best they can for what is available but all two bedroom units are super and you will enjoy your stay!
