Hello panel! My husband and I are first time cruisers and just booked a 3 day Bahamas cruise on the dream for our 10 year anniversary in Dec. We know nothing about cruising. Any great tips or must do's for us? This is our first kids free trip in 7yrs.

    Ahoy, Armanda -

Happy 10th year Anniversary to you and your husband! Time flies when you're having fun, and I'm sure you'll be making great memories onboard the magical Disney Dream on your Very Merrytime Holiday Cruise in December. I was just on the Dream two days ago and enjoyed so many adult-exclusive activities, while my 2 kids made the most out of the youth clubs. Needless to say, my husband and I had a spectacular time!

Once you step on board, and the crew announces your last name on the loudspeaker, take it all in with a big deep breath -- it's celebration time! I suggest exploring the ship during your first couple of hours on board to familiarize yourself and find your bearings. Read through the Personal Navigator that they'll give you at the Check In counter... it's a little printed newsletter of what's going on for the day. You can even download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App on your smart phone, so you can quickly filter and check the times and venues of various activities going on. If you connect on the DCL-Guest WiFi network, use of this DCL app is free while on your voyage.

Don't miss any of the evening Broadway-style musicals - they are all awesome! Their sets are amazing and the Disney entertainment cast members on board are all award-worthy. Try to book dinner at Palo or Remy on one of the evenings if you can. The chocolate souffle is a great treat at Palo - my favorite! Splurge and dine to your heart's content... after all, it is your honeymoon! After dinner, check out the District... watch the windows at Skyline change ever few minutes, and enjoy another adult beverage at Pink. There's an assortment of live bands and DJ music at the lounges to enjoy some dancing or just listening to music to relax. On embarkation day, visit the Senses Spa for their promos & service specials - they always offer a good deal on that day! That's my fave spot on the ship :-).

Have a wonderful 10 year anniversary celebration, Armanda! ~Dolly
