Hello, Shannon! First, please tell your husband that I thank him for his service to our country, and thank you for the sacrifice you and your family are making while your husband is deployed! You're sure to have a magical vacation when you are all back together in Walt Disney World! Because you booked your resort using your Disney Vacation Club points, you can easily call Member Services at (800) 800-9800 when you are ready to pay for your Dining Plan. Be sure that you do so at least 48 hours in advance of arrival, though, because you cannot purchase the Dining Plan any later than this. Thus, if your trip suddenly moves up, you'll have to be at least 48 hours away from your new check-in date in order to be able to add the Dining Plan. Once you've paid for the plan, should you need to change your resort reservation through DVC Member Services, simply ensure that your Dining Plan payment is moving over to your new reservation. Please note that Member Services has expanded their operating hours so that you can speak with a Cast Member any time between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., seven days a week. You can even add the Dining Plan online, by logging in at dvcmember.com, and selecting "Vacation Center" from the box on the right side of the page entitled "My Membership." Next, click on "Upcoming Vacations." Click on "Travel Plan Details" which will then take you the specifics of your reservation, including a tab to "Add a Dining Plan." I love this option, since we often can't call Member Services during a busy day. Send more questions as you think of them; I'd love to help you plan the best use of your Disney Vacation Club vacation as well as your wonderful Dining Plan!
