Hello Panel! We are huge WDW fans, but are considering branching out with a visit to Disneyland. Is it possible to spend a week here? If so, how would you fill the days? Traveling with DH, DDs 12 and 13, and parents in their mid 70's. Thanks!

    Greetings Kelianne!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I can't wait for you to take a trip to where the magic began at the Disneyland Resort. As someone who frequents both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts, I think a week is very doable and something I would love to experience! We really appreciate the proximity of not only the two Disneyland theme parks but also the Disneyland Resort Hotels and Downtown Disney District. You can truly get anywhere by foot which is a huge change from visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.

With an entire week, I would suggest a 5-Day Park Ticket. This will give you the freedom to leisurely experience both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Since both resorts are so much more than attractions and entertainment, you will have many opportunities to also explore the themed lands and indulge in the many amazing dining options located in each park. I'd suggest spreading out some Table Service dining reservations with time to grab some of the wonderful Quick Service options during your stay. You may even want to consider a date night reservation (may I suggest Napa Rose?) while the grandparents babysit!

I would spread my park days out and leave a couple days to really enjoy the benefits of staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel with their themed pools, recreation activities, and dining. You can also spend time shopping, bowling, or enjoying the brand new virtual reality experience "Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire" in the Downtown Disney District.

I personally think I could spend a month on Disneyland Resort property and still want to stay longer, so I just know you will be able to fill your week with magical experiences. Please return if you have further questions, and have a Fantasmic day!
