Hello Panel! Here's the skinny. Weekday passholders (2 adults, 4 kids 8,6,4,1) w/room & dine plan. Here from 10/20-10/25 and staying at Ft. Wild. We've never done dining, so we are really clueless about what is a must do. Can you suggest? Thanks so muc

    Hi Michael!

Since you are staying at Fort Wilderness, you should definitely make an Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR) for Trail's End there at Fort Wilderness for either breakfast or dinner or both.  The food is good for both of those meals and it's one of the best values on property; however, I suggest not doing lunch there because they don't offer a buffet during lunch and their menu is rather limited.

I also recommend making a dinner reservation at the Whispering Canyon Cafe.  It's located in the Wilderness Lodge, a short boat ride away from Fort Wilderness.  It's a wonderful family restaurant that most kids absolutely love.  Be sure to have one of them ask for a bottle of ketchup!

My children, ages 12 and 7, love Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Cafe for both breakfast and dinner.  They also enjoy 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian and Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club.

For restaurants in the theme parks, my children love the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom.  In Epcot, they love the Coral Reef restaurant and San Angel Inn inside the Mexican Pavilion.  In Disney's Hollywood Studios, they love the Sci Fi Dine In Theater and the 50's Prime Time Cafe.  They enjoy the Rain Forest Cafe at both the Animal Kingdom and in Downtown Disney, though it's a little loud for my taste!

Be sure to make ADRs for these restaurants.  They can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.  Good luck!
