Hello panel!! This has been so helpful for my trip Christmas 2014-Yes,I'm a little excited! Can you make a reservation at a Disney restaurant if you aren't staying at Disney? My sister is taking her trip in April and she isn't staying at one of the resorts

    Hi Lyndsey,

I'm happy we've been able to help you already! We love assisting guests with their vacation plans, so please don't hesitate to come back as often as you need to between now and December.

Your sister will be relieved to know that she can make a reservation at any Walt Disney World restaurant, regardless of where she is staying. The only caveat is that if the restaurant is inside one of the four theme parks, she and her party will need valid theme park admission to reach the restaurant.

My family loves Disney dining and, because we live just 90 minutes away, we often make the trip just for a meal at a resort, theme park or Downtown Disney. Advanced dining reservations are always a good idea, especially if you are traveling during a busy time of year, want to experience a character meal or want to dine at a signature restaurant.

You and your sister can find a complete list of the restaurants at this link. Each restaurant's page includes its menus to help you decide. Or, if you would like recommendations based on your budget and food preferences, please check back with me or one of my Disney Parks Moms Panel friends.

Enjoy the anticipation of your Walt Disney World vacation. It will be here before you know it!
