This panel has been the MOST helpful planning tool I have ever found! I was wondering what the penalty was if you did not finish paying your vacation package by the 45 days? Do they cancel your reservation? Thank you so much for helping plan our 2nd trip

Hi Hillary, I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying the Moms Panel! We all love helping Guests plan their Magical vacations!

The rule is that if you do not pay your package by 45 days prior to arrival, it will be canceled. However, I do know that in special circumstances Disney is willing to work with you if you stay in touch and let them know when you anticipate having it paid off. Sometimes they will be able to make a notation in your reservation that they can expect a payment by X date for example.

If you book a Room Only reservation, you pay the first night room/tax and after that, the balance is not due until you check in. That may be an option for you as well, if you buy your tickets separately and aren't doing the Dining Plan.

Hope this helps and have a wonderful vacation,
