This panel is so helpful in making plans. The questions your panel answers make the trip and visit go so much smoother. We are planning to go to Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Will be staying at All Star Movies. Wondering the best route to get there. Thanks

    Hi Cinda,

Thanks for your kind words.  I'm so glad the Moms Panel has been helpful to you as you make plans to visit the most magical place on earth!

Mickey's Backyard BBQ Dinner Show sounds like so much fun.  There are a number of ways you could get to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort (where the dinner show is held) from your resort.  Here are two options:

    1.  Take a resort bus from Disney's All-Star Movies Resort to Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park (take whichever bus arrives first.)  Disembark and switch to a bus headed to Fort Wilderness.

    2.  Take a resort bus from your resort to the Magic Kingdom.  Board a boat from the front of the Magic Kingdom to Ft. Wilderness.

My personal preference would be option #2 because I love to enjoy the scenery while riding a boat across the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake.  If there is foul weather, however, take the all-bus route outlined in option #1.

Whichever option you choose, I recommend you allow yourself at least 90 minutes to reach your destination.  You don't want to miss your reservation, and if you arrive early there's plenty to explore at Fort Wilderness.  (If you are really crunched for time, you could always get a taxi.  However, you would have to cover cab-fare out-of-pocket and it would likely run close to $20).

    Enjoy Mickey's Backyard BBQ!
