hi mom's panel: I heard that you can get free ice water at any quick service restaurant, food truck, or food kiosk, without any other purchase, is this true? Thanks for any info you have. KEN

    Hi Ken,

Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We love visiting Walt Disney World Resort, but the Florida heat can be intense!

Most Quick-Service Dining Locations will provide guests with a complimentary cup of ice water if possible.  Some areas do not have this capability, but if it is possible, the Cast Members will gladly offer water to guests.  On very warm days I have seen Cast Members outside of Quick-Service Dining Locations with trays of water for guests to enjoy.

There are also many other ways to cool off on those warm Florida afternoons.  My daughter loves the water play areas to cool off as well as the misters that can be found in Epcot by Test Track.  We will also alternate between indoor and outdoor attractions to get a break from the heat.  There are some days where it is just too hot and we have to take breaks back at our Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and cool off in the pool.  Also, we love enjoying a Dole Whip from Aloha Isle or Mickey Ice Cream bar to cool us down.

I hope you have a fantastic visit at Walt Disney World Resort, Ken.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
