Moms panel is GREAT! We r trying a new resort this time...OKW Villas.... and are not sure about a few things. How can we get to Contemp resort for our meals at Chef Mickeys and California grill? What options do we have to get to Downtown Disney? Tks!

    Hi Laura!

You are sure to love Disney's Old Key West Resort, with it's wonderful theming, reminiscent of the Florida Keys.

You will also have a great time at Chef Mickey's and California Grill.  You have several options available to you:  (all times are approximate):  If you have a car, you can drive there (13 minutes); If you wish to travel by bus  you can go to the Magic Kingdom park and then either transfer to monorail for Disney's Contemporary Resort (43 minutes) or you can walk to the Contemporary Resort (total travel time 45 minutes); or you could take a bus to Disney's Blizzard Beach and transfer to a bus for the Contemporary Resort (38 minutes).  Please add the time you have to wait for each method of transport to your total travel times.  It is recommended to allow 60-90 minutes to travel between Disney Resort hotels.

You will be pleased to know you have two easy options for travelling to the Downtown Disney Area:  You can take a direct bus (10 minutes), or a boat (21 minutes).

If you have any other questions please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
