This panel is great. Thank you. We are planning a trip to WDW in 2010 with our friends. There will be eight of us all togther. Do we have to pay for our trip all together in our to take part in magical gathers. Do we also have to stay at the same resort?

No, you don't all have to stay at the same resort to enjoy the benefits afforded to Grand Gathering groups (parties of 8 or more).  In order to qualify as a Grand Gathering though, you do all have to be staying at one of the Walt Disney World resort hotels.  What you need to do is contact your friends and get their confirmation number.  Once you have that, call the Grand Gathering travel planners at 407-WDW-MAGIC.  You'll also want to have your own confirmation number handy when you call.  The Cast Member you speak to will be able to create a Grand Gathering number for you once you provide the requested information.  Do keep in mind that only party members over the age of three are considered part of the guest count.

We did a Grand Gathering four generation family reunion last year and had a blast!  I hope your group enjoys your trip as much as we did!

Meet the Panelist: Darcie, Alabama

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
