Hi Panel! We want to give our kids, age 6 & 9, a gift card to use for souveniers. What amount do you recommend? I want them to be able to get something at each of the parks. I don't want to go over board, but I want to give them enough.

Hi Belinda! We love to purchase gift cards and Disney Dollars for our children to use on our vacation. It gives them a sense of responsibility for their "money" and purchases. It surprises me at the items that they will put back when they have to spend their "money" instead of ours. They also do not spend all their money at one time and make it "last" until our last vacation day.

I would recommend an increment closest to $5 times their age for Disney gift cards. So, your 6 year old would receive $25 and your 9 year old would receive $50. This should be plenty to allow them to purchase age appropriate souvenirs.
