Hello there, Tami! Welcome to planDisney. I see that you have a trip coming up to the Most Magical Place on Earth next month. I bet you are getting so excited!
Prepare to hit the snooze button once or twice on your
Epcot day, Tami! All of Epcot officially opens at 11:00 a.m. It's been like this since the reopening of Walt Disney World last summer. I have to admit, I don't hate it. I like to plan my Epcot day for the middle of a trip now to get some extra rest one morning. It gives an energy boost that is needed mid-vacation.
Even though Epcot opens up officially at 11:00 a.m., I recommend arriving anywhere from 45 minutes to 1-hour prior to the scheduled opening time. You'll find that Guests are being let into the theme parks a little bit early to keep from grouping up at the main entrance. With a little pixie dust, you'll be in line and experiencing your first attraction before Epcot is even technically open. This is how I plan my mornings while I am at Walt Disney World and I am always amazed at how much I am able to cross off our must-do list by lunchtime.
Right when Epcot opens, I suggest doing a few attractions before heading off around the
World Showcase. I find that attraction wait times tend to really fill up in the afternoon so I like to do a few of the most popular ones before heading off to enjoy food and beverages. Then, in the evening, when most people are having dinner I like to pop over to any attraction I may have missed in the morning.
I hope you have a wonderful time enjoying the day at Epcot. The
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is taking place so be sure to bring your appetite! There will be so many delicious options to choose from. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun and enjoy!
