Hi moms panel! First trip to DW in Aug 2012! Staying at POP C in standard room. Im wondering if any of the standard rms have pool view? Also Im not human in AM until my coffee. How far is the walk from ( WORST CASE) the furthest building of rooms to dining?

    Hi Janette,

I stayed in a standard room at Disney's Pop Century Resort in May and it had a pool view.  As of 2012, there will be four room types from which you can choose:  standard room, standard room with pool view, preferred room, and preferred room with pool view.  At present, it is just standard or preferred rooms.  A preferred room is one that is within 500 feet of the bus stops, guest services desk, and Everything Pop Food Court.  Therefore, if you are in a standard room, you will have a healthy walk to get your coffee in the morning.  I know because I was the designated coffee runner in my travel party in May.  I actually volunteered for the job because I love to see the Disney resorts in the morning as they are just coming to life for the day.  My guess is that it will take you five to ten minutes to reach the food court in the morning.

Have fun at Disney's Pop Century Resort.  It really is a fun place to stay.
