Hello Panel, My family has only 5 more weeks and I can't wait! We are staying at Boardwalk Villas (non DVC) and want to confirm at what balance will they clear our room charge balance by applying to our credit card on file? Thanks so much

    Hello Kimberly,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another great question. I completely understand your excitement about the fact that your trip Walt Disney World Resort is coming up in a few short weeks! I love staying in the Epcot Resort Area in order to be so close to both Epcot AND Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so I’m sure you’re going to have a wonderful time during your stay at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas

Based on my experience, I’ve found that the answer to your question varies. During some visits, I’ve found that my credit card gets charged when my total Guest folio (i.e. my total purchases that I’ve charged to my Walt Disney World Resort hotel room account) hits the $2,000 mark, but I’ve also had it happen when I’ve hit the $1,500 mark.

My recommendation would be to see what your Resort’s policy is when you check in and, if you’d prefer a lower spending limit, ask them whether it would be possible to accommodate this request. Your Resort's Lobby Concierge will also be happy to help you out if you have any questions during your stay.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Lynne
