Hi Mom's Panel. My family is visiting WDW May 1-7th. My 3 year old son is a huge dinosour fan and I tried to get a reservation for T-rex but nothing is available the week we are there. Is it possible to get a table without a reservation this time of year.

Hi, Amanda! My 6 year old is crazy for dinosaurs. His little brother likes anything he does.

We hit T-Rex twice on our last visit. He (and we) enjoyed it quite a bit. You can always walk up to the restaurant and see about getting a table. Not all of their tables are claimed by advance dining reservations. One of your best bets for a walk up will be at the start of lunchtime. It's virtually extinct (zing!) from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. If you do end up waiting for a table, you can do a Build-a-Dino while you wait.

If you're looking for other dinosaur experiences at Disney World, here's a shortlist for you:
    • T-Rex Cafe (duh)
    • Dinoland at Animal Kingdom (your 3 year old will love the Boneyard and Triceratops Spin)
    • Ellen's Energy Adventure (if your 3 year old has a good attention span)
    • Gertie the Dinosaur (and his Ice Cream of Extinction) at Hollywood Studios
