Hi Mom's panel, My family and I are taking our first Disney Cruise in July and I have a question about dining. I have heard that the children are served first then the parents an hour later. Are we able to all get our food at the same time or is this true?

    Ahoy, Stephanie!

I'm so excited to hear that you're all booked for your very first Disney Cruise. You will surely enjoy the world-class entertainment, amenities & service that only Disney can deliver. It's simply one of the best ways to enjoy family time.

Disney's signature rotational dining makes it easy for families to enjoy all the specialty themed restaurants onboard. You even have a dedicated dining team following you to dinner every night of your voyage. They really do make your dining experience special, as they provide impeccable service and an awesome selection of delectable entrees. Your family enjoys dinner at the same time. It will be just like you were dining at a fine restaurant with all the attention to detail. You can even specify special dietary needs or restrictions (or allergies) to make sure that you have an excellent dining experience. If you do decide to feed the kids earlier - especially if they have to go back to the Youth Clubs - you can surely request that too.

Dinner is definitely family-sacred time for us. My kids are usually enjoying their day at the Youth Clubs, and it's a lot of fun hearing about their stories & adventures in the evening as we recap our day. The food is excellent, and it also allows everyone to try something different each night. And just in case you can't make up your mind on what to eat - try 2! There are great selections on the kids menu and the adult menu -- and you can order anything on either menu. There's something for a picky eater - and something for the more adventurous palates. Don't forget to check out Palo or Remy for date night on one evening.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions. We're always glad to help!
