Lisa from NJ Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Hi Panel! Our family has 3 separate bookings but we would like to do some dining together. We all have DDP. When paying do we ask for separate checks or give the server our Dining Plan for each family. Also when I make the res. do I give their DP # too ?

    Hi, Lisa!

When traveling with different families, the best thing to do is book one dining reservation for your entire party. Even if on the Disney Dining Plan, you will need to secure the reservation with a credit card (you do not need their vacation confirmation numbers to book dining). Once at your meal, your server will be happy to divide the check however you wish so each party has their own check to use their Disney Dining credits.

You may want to link each family's My Disney Experience account through Family & Friends. This will allow everyone to see what plans are made from dining to FastPass+ selections. If you have any trouble during the linking process, give a call to (407)939-7765 and a friendly cast member can assist you. When calling, have each party's email address available.

If you are all staying at the same Disney Resort hotel, you may want to link your resort reservations. While this will not guarantee connecting rooms, it will increase your chances of being near each other. You can call (407)934-7639 to have your reservations linked.

Wishing your entire travel party a magical vacation in Walt Disney World!
