Hi panel, Can my family drop me and my ECV of at the Cont resort and me take the walkway to MK instead of using monorail/ferry- nervous about trying to manuever the ecv on and off monorail. Never used one before and any helpful hints are appreciated

    Hi Kimberly!

This is a great question!  You won't have any problems being dropped off at the Contemporary Resort.  You can take the walk way over, but you could also just take the monorail from the Contemporary Resort.  I have seen wheelchairs and ECVs board the monorail there all the time without any problems.

Moving into and out of elevators and onboard and off of the monorail might take some practice.  It also might take some practice to navigate the theme parks when they are crowded.  I suggest avoiding the evening rush if possible.  For example, don't wait until right after the fireworks to try and head down Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom; the sidewalks and Main Street will be packed with people then.

Everybody I know who tries an ECV at Walt Disney World absolutely love it and they are glad they rented one.  Walt Disney World is a huge place.  Good luck and please write back with more questions!
