Hello moms panel, my family and I are coming to Disney World in 8 Days, We are so excited. It may sound silly but I am a little overwhelmed, where to start, what park to visit first, and what is a must see. The kids ages are 15 and 9, any suggestions?

    Greeting Elisabeth from Elisabeth!

Do not feel silly. With the dizzying amount of choices at Walt Disney World, trying to plan an itinerary can leave you feeling like you just stepped out of a spinning cup on the Mad Tea Party.

Typically my family plans our park days around dinning reservations, Extra Magic Hours, interests, and special events. For our upcoming trip we are visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios on a Sunday to see Stormtroopers and Wookies during a StarWars Weekend. We'll hit the Magic Kingdom on a day we have early breakfast reservations at the Crystal Palace and check out Disney's Animal Kingdom when morning Extra Magic Hours are offered. If your teen has been wanting to ride Space Mountain since age 8, head to the classic MK first. If your nine year old is an animal lover, consider a trek on Animal Kingdom's Kilimanjaro Safari early on.

Your family will enjoy the fireworks at Magic Kingdom, Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Epcot's Illuminations. These nighttime spectaculars are stunning. If you don't already have dining reservations, try to snag a few last minute table service meals. No one is ever too old for Mickey waffles with the classic Disney characters at Chef Mickey's. The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater and the 50's Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios are two unique spots perfect for a family with a teen and a tween. Don't forget to conquer ever mountain in the Magic Kingdom.

I'm out of room to offer more advice, but I would be happy to help you create a more detailed itinerary. Just contact me with your family's preferences, dinning reservations, and resort if you would like more recommendations.
