Hi Panel, I enjoy reading the Q & A's on a daily basis as there's so much helpful information. We would really appreciate your recommendation for the best counter service meal in all four theme parks? Travelling with a 10 and 8 yr. old. Thank you.

    Wendy:

"Best" to me means value...with that in mind, here are my thoughts:

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's. Regulars to the panel know that I tout the green beans here as much as I do the rotisserie chicken and ribs. A combo can easily be split between two people.  A close second is Peco's Bill's where I choose to get a double cheeseburger with an extra bun and split the meal between two kids. The restaurant features a "fixins" bar for your burger to boot!

Epcot: Sunshine Season's in The Land pavilion offers the best variety at its freshest.  An entree in the grill line can be shared but I often opt for the seared tuna salad. Don't miss the dessert case. A close second is Tangierine Cafe, not so much for value, as their portions are plentiful but not over-generous, as for the authentic flavor of its hummus, tabbouleh salad and other fare. A fabulous alternative to burgers and fries.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree Barbecue always gets the nod for my family, as its tender ribs are filling. But the outdoor seating makes for the total package. If barbecue isn't your taste, my runner-up is Pizzafari's Italian sandwich. Find a room in the very back for some peace and quiet (and lots of A/C in the summer heat)!

    Disney's Hollywood Studios:
We usually opt for Studio Catering Co. next to the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground not only for its Greek Salad and wraps but also for its covered ample seating.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
