hi panel! 2?s we are going to DW 11/24-12/1 will the characters be in xmas costumes at the parks or just during the xmas party at MK? do you recommend the party children are 7-2. and are the crowd levels pretty low that week? thanks for all your info

Hi Jessica! It is hard to know if and which characters will be dressed for the holidays this year. Things really start to happen and develop right after Thanksgiving. You can often see holiday characters or Santa next to City Hall in the Magic Kingdom but truly the best way to get into the spirit is to attend the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Everyone will be festive and the parade is outstanding with my favorite part being the toy soldiers as they march down Main Street. I definitely recommend your children attend. My grandson has been going since he was two and he loved the dancing and the music and the lights. Don't forget to look up as you walk down Main Street to see it snowing!  For our family the price of the ticket was just worth the opportunity to see the parade and fireworks and walk around hearing the music and seeing the holiday characters.  We never concerned ourselves with how many attractions we ventured on.

The crowd levels are usually pretty good at this time of year. Once Thanksgiving ends and up to a week before Christmas the parks are usually pretty easy to maneuver.  The Christmas parade is taped in the Magic Kingdom often the first week of December so be sure if that is during your time that you avoid the park on those days as it will be a bit crazy!
