A Warm Welcome to planDisney, Linda!
I appreciate you sending us your great question about
Disney’s Magical Express. I understand your concerns, especially with all the changes coming to this great service.
Linda, I am sorry to inform you that luggage delivery for those arriving to and departing from the Orlando International Airport and Resort Airline Check-In Service are no longer available. These changes occurred during the
phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort and have not been available for some time now. Guests will need to claim their own luggage on Level 2 before proceeding to Disney’s Magical Express service area.
Disney’s Magical Express service will be discontinued for arrivals beginning January 1, 2022. However, the service will continue to operate for all new and existing Disney Resort hotel reservations for arrivals throughout all of 2021.
As Walt Disney World Resort plans for the future, they have taken into account that the needs and preferences of Guests are ever-changing, particularly in the way they want to get places faster, and at their convenience. Ride-share services allow Guests to save time and maximize their vacation while traveling “the World”!
In fact, because we understand just how much our very special Guests (such as yourself, Linda!) enjoy extra theme park time, Disney Resort hotel Guests and Guests of other select hotels will benefit from a
30-minute early entry to any of the four theme parks, every single day! This change will occur later this year as part of the 50th-anniversary celebration. Can you believe our beloved Walt Disney World Resort is turning 50? Hot diggity dog, Linda! We are so excited to celebrate with you!
I hope I have helped answer your question. I’m sorry if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear, but I hope visiting planDisney made the changes a little easier to understand. With a little hope, trust, and pixie dust we will make it through this together, Linda!
Wishing you a Magical Year,
Priscila
