Hi Panel! My daughter is turning 3 years old during our stay at Disney. She will be 2 at check-in. Do I have to buy her admission tickets for the days where she is actually 3, or is it based upon age at check-in? How does this affect the dining plan?

    Hi Caroline,

Good news! Your daughter's age at the start of your vacation will be considered her age throughout your visit, so you won't need to add tickets for those days after her birthday. The same applies to the dining plan. Because she will be 2 at check-in, you won't pay for a dining plan for her.

She can share your meals at any of the restaurants, including any of the buffets. You will only pay for her if you want to order something extra, such as a child's meal at a counter service or table service restaurant.

Make sure you get a free Happy Birthday button for her at Guest Relations at any theme park or resort. She'll get lots of good wishes and, sometimes, an extra bit of magic as part of her celebration.

Enjoy your visit! And thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
