Hi Alyssa!
I'm excited to hear you're considering a Disney Cruise. In my opinion,
any time is a great time to cruise with Captain Mickey!
There are certain things you'll need to consider when choosing a sail date:
- Are you looking for the lowest rates?
- Will you need to schedule your vacation around school breaks?
- Are you hoping for a winter getaway to a warmer location?
- Are there certain ports of call you'd like to visit?
Our family has to plan our cruise dates around school vacations. We've enjoyed a Christmas Break cruise, a Spring Break sailing, and we've set sail in summer months. I definitely enjoy cruising when it's warmer, and the ocean water is warm enough for swimming in the ports. Peak cruising season is during the summer, when most kids are out of school. If you want to avoid the largest crowds and highest rates, you can try to schedule your cruise when school is normally in session. Even when the ship is at full capacity, you won't feel overcrowded - Disney ships are designed to accommodate large numbers of guests on a full cruise.
Choosing when to sail can be a tough decision - my advice is to visit
Disney Cruise Line's official website and take a look at all of the incredible itineraries. Once you decide where you'd like to go on your cruise, narrow the sail dates down to those that work for your family! Like I said, there's no "bad" time for a Disney Cruise!
