Hello panel! Coming in June, staying at POFQ. Every review I've seen says the rooms are getting "shabby." Do you agree? When was the last refurbishment? Should I switch to another moderate resort? I value your opinion.

Hi Jaynee - I was at the Port Orleans French Quarter several years ago, and while the rooms aren't the newest, I didn't feel they were shabby.  My family really loved it there!  However, since so many of the other hotels are newly renovated, comparatively, they are a bit older.

If you like the other aspects of the resort, you should keep the reservations.  However, if you want a newer room, the rooms at Coronado Springs are newly renovated and look fabulous.  But Coronado Springs is a lot different than the Port Orleans French Quarter, so make sure you evaluate all of the factors before switching.

    Have a great vacation!
