Hi panel. Coming in Dec. 1st time. We will be staying at disney movies resort. Which building is closest to the buses. My mother is 80, and husband will still be recovering from surgery, and my grandchild is only 4, so please help. thanks

    Peggy:

When our family stayed at the All-Stars Movies Resort, we were in the Toy Story section in the army men building (if memory serves me correctly) and pretty close to the bus stop (there is just one).

My recommendation, though, is for you to put in a request on your reservation for a room near the bus stop--not a particular building--and tell Disney why you are making the request.  I have found that if I let them know what I'm looking for in a room and why, rather than requesting a specific room or building, I'm more likely to get closer to what I want.  After all, if you just tell them a building--and they don't know why you want that building--they may be shooting in the dark if they're unable to meet your specific request and have to look at alternatives.

To do this, just call your travel agent or Disney direct itself (407-824-3421) with your confirmation and ask the reservationists to add your request to your reservation.  Disney doesn't guarantee requests, but if they know what your needs are, I have found they will do their best to fulfill it.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
