Please let me begin by thanking your husband for his efforts! I love that you are coming to WDW as a family to mark his return; I can't imagine a more perfect place for a family to reconnect.
On Christmas Day, we have always loved
Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge; with the lobby's fireplace and jaw-dropping Christmas tree, it just seems like a perfect holiday setting for a relaxed meal. If you'd like something a little more energetic and entertaining, the
Whispering Canyon Cafe is another option (do a Youtube search to get an idea of the antics). Similarly, the restaurants at the
Grand Floridian (click on Dining option) are just as inviting with its resort's holiday decorations, including a life-size gingerbread house. You can experience fine dining, character dining, or casual dining at this resort.
If you'd like traditional fixings,
Liberty Tree Tavern at the Magic Kingdom offers turkey and all the fixings in its colonial setting.
I would encourage you to get your reservations soon as the booking window for Christmas already open. You might also like to visit www.disneyfoodblog.com and do a search for "Christmas" for more ideas and menu samples. Another search for "birthday treats" can give you some birthday ideas; make sure & include a note about your celebrations in your reservation. If you click
here, you can find some info on ordering birthday cakes.
Wishing you a magical trip filled with amazIng memories!
