Hi Panel! Can you buy just a ticket to MNSSH and not have to buy a ticket for the park as well? Meaning we don't want to go the park during the day, just want to attend the party. Also will the rides be open? Gotta say I love you guys!

Hi Lisa! Thanks for your kind words about the panel. We all love the magic of Disney and love to share that with all the guests. Plus it keeps giving us an excuse to return to find out all that is changing in the world!

You can certainly just buy a ticket for one of the Magic Kingdom's special event parties such as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. This can allow you to visit another park during the day or just hang at the resort and then head to the Magic Kingdom for the evening with your special event ticket. With this you can enter sometimes as early as 4pm even though the party doesn't officially start until 7pm. Many guests do this as they like to get a dinner reservation in the park before the fun begins.

Most of the attractions will be open and select dining locations as well. Attractions that are not safe in the dark such as Tom Sawyer's Island will close as they do on any other day at dusk. Jungle Cruise is usually not operating but most everything is especially those thrill rides such as Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain and Splash Mountain.  Be sure and take time for the great parade and arrive early enough to see the Headless Horseman ride down the streets to lead it off!
