Hi panel! After booking a vacation for my boyfriend (of 4 years), his mom, and my mom, I realized that it is over my prom weekend. I want to do something special, romantic, and memorable because I am missing a huge event. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi Jane,

I suggest making a dinner reservation for the California Grill on top of Disney's Contemporary Resort.  The food is fantastic and the views are fabulous.  You can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from a balcony right outside the restaurant!  I think it is a very romantic restaurant; be sure to request a window by the table when you check-in!  If you can't get a reservation at the California Grill, you might consider Jiko in the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  What you lose in the view, you gain in spectacular food.

I think a carriage ride at either Fort Wilderness or Port Orleans Riverside is very romantic.  You can get a small carriage for just you and your boyfriend, or get a large carriage for everybody.  Advance reservations can be made by calling WDW-PLAY.

Other ideas that come to mind are specialty cruises.  You can do a Premium Magic Kingdom Wishes Cruise.  You can also do a Celebration Magic Kingdom Wishes Cruise which is similar to the Premium but with decorations.  You may also enjoy an Epcot Illuminations Cruise.

If you really want to do something spectacular then I recommend calling a Dream Maker at Disney Floral & Gifts.  They have done some amazing things in the past and they have ideas at various budget levels.  You can reach a Dream Maker at (407) 827-3505.

    Have a magical vacation!
