Hi Lisa, Thank you for posting your question about dining at Walt Disney World Resort. My friends and I here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel could chat for days about the wonderful restaurants and snacks at The Most Magical Place on Earth. As the lead chaperone for an annual senior trip at the school where I teach, I am regularly making advance dining reservations for groups of 12 - 18. I have found that sometimes it is necessary to split the group in half or thirds to secure a dining reservation for the desired time frame. Then, when we check in at the restaurant, my group arrives 15-20 minutes early and alerts the host or hostess that we are actually multiple groups and wish to be seated together. We let them know we are willing to wait a bit longer than normal if being seated together is a possibility. In most cases, the helpful Cast Members find us tables near each other. It's good to keep in mind, however, that this is sometimes not possible. That's the downside of breaking your party up into multiple reservations. Might I suggest another possibility? Call (407) WDW-DINE, or (407) 939-3463, and speak to one of the Cast Members about your advance dining reservations. I have found that they often have a broader view of the reservation system and may be able to suggest alternative times or restaurants that could more effectively accommodate your party of eight. Meanwhile, here are some restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort that I have found can accommodate large groups nicely: Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge The Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Biergarten in Epcot Boma at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Trattoria al Forno along Disney's BoardWalk I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll be able to dine where you wish. Best wishes, Jill
