Hi! This panel is the best for trip planning! Here's my ?: How do I get from GF to AKL for ADR at Boma? If we decide to spend the entire day in MK, how do we get to AKL from there? How much time should we allow for travel? Thanks!

    Deborah:

Thanks for the compliment and for coming to the Mom's Panel for YOUR question!

The simplest way to get from the Grand Floridian to Animal Kingdom Lodge is to hop on the monorail or the ferry (whichever is closest to your room) and head to the Magic Kingdom.  From outside its entrance, follow the signs to the bus loading/unloading and take the bus that goes to Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you're at Magic Kingdom, obviously, you'll do the same to get to AKL.

The bus ride takes about 20 minutes, so you'll need to add on additional time for the monorail (it's a 5 minute-ride and it will take you 5 minutes to walk from the station to the bus stop) and also time to wait on the bus and monorail.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
