Welcome back to planDisney, Holly! I'm always happy to answer a question for a fellow resident of Pennsylvania! You are asking so many great questions! You're going to be well-prepared for your visit next month!
Knowing which attractions will be closed for refurbishment during a vacation is an important part of planning! The Walt Disney World Resort lists all scheduled refurbishments on a convenient
Day Calendar on their website. For example, I just pulled up the Day Calendar for Magic Kingdom Park on April 11, 2021. When the day appears, scroll down. I can see that the Walt Disney World Railroad, Hall of Presidents, and Main Street Confectionary are scheduled to be closed for refurbishment on that day. The Day Calendar is easy to filter for all four of the Disney Parks. When using the Day Calendar, you will want to be sure to click "Refurbishments" to see the list of planned closures during your vacation.
The news that you are hearing about Guests of the
Disney Resorts Collection being able to enter the Disney Parks early is true, however, it hasn't started yet! I understand that this benefit is going to be introduced as we get closer to the
World's Most Magical Celebration later this fall when the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Walt Disney World Resort is celebrated!
I love that you have a
Disney Dining location booked! Reservations are highly sought and you got one! Great job! I recommend that you take transportation from your Disney Resort Hotel to the closest theme park. Once you arrive at the theme park, board a bus that is headed for the Disney Resort Hotel where you have your reservation. If you'd like more specific help from planDisney, feel free to send us another question with your Disney Resort Hotel and which dining reservation you've made! We'll send you the best route to travel!
