Hello Moms Panel, we are 4 (2A/2K) from Switzerland and we're spending 5 days at wdw. Since it's our first visit at we want to make our trip as spontaneous as possible. Is it really that important to make dining reservation in advance? Thx for your advice

    Hi Khedija,

It's lovely to see a question from an international traveller like me!

I can totally understand that you don't want to be tied down too much during your visit and the answer to your question really depends on what meals you want to have whilst you are there.

Lots of the restaurants especially Character Meals and Dinner Shows are very popular and do book up quickly. If you are not particularly bothered where you eat or are happy to eat at Quick-Service locations, then it is not essential to make dining reservations in advance.

If you would like to have a Table-Service meal at least once a day and have planned which Disney Parks you will be visiting on each of the five days of your stay, I would recommend that you do make advance dining reservations to ensure that there are tables available to accommodate your party.

Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
