I have a pal Mickey from a trip years ago. Will he still respond to different areas in the park if I bring him with me or is he just a cool plush at this point? Thanks

Hiya, Pal! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Debbie. I love collecting these awesome interactive pieces from Disney Parks. I have a Glow with the Show (now called Made with Magic) set of ears from 2012 that still interacts with fireworks and Fantasmic!

That same glow line has evolved into paint brushes, wands and more. The original PAL Mickey was sold at Walt Disney World Resort’s 4 theme parks many years ago. It originally interacted with you and the Parks via infrared transmitters to give you Park tips, parade times, and information about the area you were in. It would even have told you what characters were nearby waiting to meet you! In September 2014, the Park transmitters stopped supporting PAL Mickey, but he will still tell you a bit about the Parks when you are there. Just don’t expect him to be able to provide you with showtimes or character meets or current information. You might get a silly joke or two when you press his hand, though!

If I can let you know more about the newest interactive Parks items that you can pick up during your next trip to Walt Disney World resort, please let me know. I’ll see ya’ real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
