Hi, I've paired our Magic Band+ for our trip in late Sept. In the meantime, should I turn off the bands to conserve battery? Also, would I need to re-pair every time I turn them back on?

    Hi there,

Welcome back to planDisney Julia. You must be very excited about this upcoming stay. September is a wonderful time to visit and if you visit EPCOT, and decide to save the galaxy with Starlord, Groot, Rocket and the rest of the crew. You might actually hear the song “September” playing in the background of Cosmic Rewind.

Getting that MagicBand+ delivery to your home means you are just days away from visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth." From planning your park day, to packing your bags these next 30 days will be exciting to say the least. With the magic so close you want to make sure everything is right. Your MagicBand+ is going to be a tool for you to use during everyday of this visit and keeping a good charge is important. In my experience you will not have to re-pair the MagicBand+ with your phones. I would charge them a couple days before your trip and turn them off. Once you arrive to your resort turn them on and they will be ready to help you access the magic.

MagicBand+ is such an amazing tool you will wonder how you would do Disney again without it. Having empty pockets on vacation and not having to keep track of keys a wallet, and park tickets is monumental. It does so much more too. If you see one of the statues with gold characters, give them a wave and you may hear a message from that character. You can also use it for PhotoPass, once the photographer is done snapping your photo they can scan your MagicBand and they will link to your My Disney Experience App. And if for some reason your MagicBand battery does die  during your park day don’t fret. The main functions will still work for basic functions like payments, tickets, and as a room key.

I hope this information helps you out,  and gives you some peace of mind. Visit us again anytime at planDisney.com.

    Have a magical stay,

    Jeremy A.
