MagicBand+ to a new phone, especially when it’s already linked to your account. Let’s get this sorted out so you can enjoy all the great features of your band!
Since your MagicBand+ is already linked to your account, you don’t need to set it up as a new band. Instead, you can follow these steps to pair it with your new phone:
1. Make sure your MagicBand+ is charged and turned on.
2. Make sure Bluetooth is switched on in your new phone.
3. Open the
My Disney Experience app on your new phone, and ensure you’re logged into the same Disney account where your band is linked.
4. Go to the MagicBand+ section by tapping the three horizontal lines (menu) at the bottom right corner, and select “MagicBands and Cards.”
5. Locate your MagicBand+ under “My Bands” and tap on it.
6. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your band with your new phone via Bluetooth.
If you’re still having trouble, try resetting your MagicBand+ by holding down the button on the back for about 15 seconds until it vibrates and flashes. This will not unlink the band from your account but should help reset the Bluetooth connection. Then, try pairing it again using the steps above.
