Hi Rosie! Welcome to planDisney. We’re so happy you’re here!
I bet you're getting excited about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Can you believe it's less than two weeks away? I'm sure you've been looking forward to this special time with your family for quite a while, so I'm so pumped for you to set off on your magical vacation! Of course, there are lots of final details to get wrapped up before you take off on the adventure of a lifetime, so I’m so happy you stopped by today with your question. So, let’s get to it, shall we?
MagicBands purchased by you do not need to be linked to just one account. In fact, I have purchased MagicBands in the parks to bring home as souvenirs for friends to use on their own Walt Disney World vacations. So, once you have your MagicBands purchased, they can be linked to any account by following the steps below:
- Log into the My Disney Experience account to which you would like the MagicBand linked using the mobile app.
- Then, click on the three stacked lines in the bottom right corner.
- Next, select the “MagicBands and More” tile.
- Now, scroll down and click on “Link Your MagicBand or Card.”
- From there, you can either toggle over to “Type ID” and manually enter the ID number (located on the back of the MagicBand), or you can toggle over to “Tap” and use the scanning tool to link the band.
- Finally, follow the prompts to assign the MagicBand to the correct Guest, and you’re all set!
Pretty easy, right?!
Before you go, Rosie, I just wanted to quickly remind you to secure your Park Pass Reservations for the dates you plan to visit the theme parks. As a reminder, you'll need to make a reservation for the first park you plan to visit each day. Then, if you have added the Park Hopper Option to your tickets, you can hop over to another park starting at 2 p.m. each day.
You are visiting Walt Disney World Resort during such an amazing time, Rosie! I am so excited for you and will be here to answer any other questions you have.
See you real soon!
