Will the Paint the Night parade run during the Halloween & Christmas holiday season(s)?

Hi there, Shilene! Welcome to planDisney! Oh, I just love your planning spirit, thinking ahead to the spooktacular Halloween Time season and the most wonderful time of the year at the Happiest Place on Earth—Holidays at the Disneyland Resort! I adore every magical season, and it’s so exciting to anticipate the next wave of fun!

You asked a fantastic question about whether the Paint the Night parade might light up the streets during the holiday seasons, especially with all the extra sparkle of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration! You know, I was just dancing along to Paint the Night myself last week, and oh my goodness, it's just as brilliant, vibrant, and charming as ever! All those beloved floats are back, the music is so wonderfully catchy it'll have you humming with joy all day long, and they've even sprinkled in some wonderful surprise nods to the 70th Celebration throughout. It truly is a spectacular part of the current festivities!

Now, as for whether its dazzling run will continue into the Halloween and Holiday seasons, that’s where it’s a bit like waiting for Tinker Bell to decide just where she’s going to spread her pixie dust next—the exact entertainment lineup for those specific times is still under wraps. Mickey and his pals are busy preparing all sorts of magical surprises, and they do like to keep us guessing!

I do know that sometimes, to make way for all the ghoulish delights of Halloween Time or the festive cheer of the Holidays, some of the ongoing celebration's entertainment might take a little intermission. However, which specific offerings might pause is a secret even the Magic Mirror isn't revealing just yet!

Your very best bet, Shilene, will be to keep those eyes sparkling and peeled on the Daily Events Schedule on the website or via the Disneyland mobile app as your visit gets closer. That’s where all the official showtimes and parade routes will magically appear, usually a few weeks out. Another great place to check is the Disney Parks Blog—it’s an awesome source for up-to-the-minute news and announcements.

But oh, Shilene, while we wait for that parade news, just imagine the sights! The parks will be a dazzling dream, blending the anniversary's shimmer with the whimsical charm of Halloween décor, and then transforming into a winter wonderland brimming with Christmas magic. Think of all those gorgeous photo opportunities with the themed decorations—from pumpkins with personality to ornaments that twinkle with delight, all beautifully mingling with the signature sparkle of the 70th Celebration! It’s going to be such a unique and wonderful time to visit, with layers of festive fun around every corner.

No matter what, you’re in for an incredibly special visit filled with unique memories! Keep that excitement flowing, and please let us know if any more questions pop into your head as you continue planning your visit!

    Have a magical day!
