Will the Paint the Night Parade be every night in August and September? Also, which dates in August and September have fireworks? Trying to book a trip and don’t want to miss out on the nighttime spectaculars.

Hi there, Amy, and a very warm welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for stopping by with your great question. I can understand why you don't want to miss out on the nighttime spectaculars at Disneyland. My family is the same way! There's something so magical about seeing the sky light up, with that music(!), in the Happiest Place on Earth. But more than that, experiencing it with the people you love is so very special. I'm getting misty-eyed just thinking about it!

To answer your question, Amy, nighttime spectaculars and parades in Disneyland Park may occur every night or weekends only, and the entertainment schedule is released a few weeks out. I encourage you to check the Hours & Events Calendar on the Disneyland website six weeks prior to your visit, under "Fireworks & Nighttime Entertainment," for the most current information and to see which dates fireworks and parades may be occurring during your visit. Make sure your particular date is selected from the "Change Date" at the top.

However, we do know that the fall favorites and Disneyland's 70th Celebration will overlap during Halloween Time - which is huge news! Not only will we get to experience the frightfully fun haunts of Halloween Time (which begins August 22), but we'll also get to enjoy the incredible 70th Celebration entertainment, as well. That means the dazzling Paint the Night parade will continue throughout the Halloween season!

All that said, it's important to know that the entertainment schedule can change at any time and fireworks at Disneyland can also be cancelled last minute due to weather, unfortunately.

Our family's favorite spot to view the fireworks (and parades!) is over by "it's a small world," as the crowds are usually much lighter back there! Projections will be up on the attraction's facade, so make sure you have a clear view of "it's a small world!" And, Amy, if you time it right, you could catch the Paint the Night parade from the same spot!

Well, I hope this has been helpful for you in your planning, and that you have the most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. If you have any other questions or would like some additional tips or recommendations, like how to experience the magic of Disneyland's 70th Celebration or strategies to make sure you hit all your top priorities, don't hesitate to reach out again anytime!

    Warmest wishes,
    McCayla
