Hi again, Susan! Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Paint the Night is my favorite parade of all time and I would love nothing more than to have it be a permanent fixture at the parks. However, Paint the Night returned to the Disneyland Resort as part of Pixar Fest which is scheduled to end on September 3, 2018. There hasn’t been an official announcement about extending the run of Paint the Night, but I do see that
Paint the Night Dining Package reservations are available beyond September 3rd. So it looks like it’s staying a little longer than originally anticipated. Keep your fingers crossed and continue to check the entertainment calendar and the availability of the dining packages as your October travel dates approach. Also, make sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog for any official announcements.
If you are lucky enough to see this amazing parade during your trip, there are a few tips I’d like to share. First, if you want a truly VIP experience complete with an exquisite four-course dinner and actual chairs to view the parade, book the Paint the Night Dining Package at Carthay Circle. My family and I enjoyed this package during our visit in April and it was one of the best parade viewing experiences ever. You can also watch the parade from the comfort of a seat while munching on sweet and savory treats and sipping wine or beer if you book the Sonoma Terrace Paint the Night Reception. Or you can view the parade from a variety of spots throughout the park. The parade route is rather long so there are lots of places to watch without having to stake out a spot hours in advance.
I hope this helps. Have an amazing time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
